Do I need to go to the DGT?

Typically the following documents are needed:

  • Identification (passport or EU ID)

  • NIE number

  • Original vehicle documents from the country of origin

  • Purchase invoice or contract

  • Certificate of Conformity (COC) or technical data

  • Proof of address

Do I need an ITV inspection?

Yes, we can attend the ITV station with your vehicle or on your behalf if needed.

Yes. All vehicles must pass an ITV inspection before they can be registered in Spain.

We can arrange the ITV appointment and ensure the documentation is ready beforehand.

The process typically takes 7–14 working days, depending on ITV availability and administrative processing times.

If the vehicle does not have a Certificate of Conformity (COC), additional technical documentation may be required.

In these cases a Ficha Reducida prepared by a certified engineer is usually needed.
